Biography
Swedish-born actress Ann-Margret came to the U.S. with her family at the age of seven, settling in a Chicago suburb and later studying Drama at Northwestern University. Despite an innate shyness, the girl set out to become a musical entertainer, making her professional debut as a singer at the age of 17.   • Survived a dramatic 22-foot fall from a stage in a Lake Tahoe, Nevada concert in 1972.
